This jersey is believed to have been worn by the 1969 USA Men's National Team in that year's World Championship Tournament, which was played in Stockholm Sweden. It is believed that USA Hockey, which is well-known for recycling jerseys from team to team, kept this set of jerseys for possible use at the least until 1974, when they donned again in the inaugural World U20 Tournament. That tournament was held in Leningrad. At some point, these jerseys were relegated to a garage in Colorado, a garage owned by USA Hockey lifer and luminary Art Berglund. USA hockey lists the players that wore this number in these two tournaments as such:
1969 WC: Player Coach of the USA squad and USA hockey legend John Mayasich
1974 WJC: Warroad, MN native and son of Henry Boucha's High School coach (Don Roberts), Pete Roberts
